Waxed Canvas Traveller Backpack / Desert Stripe Herringbone Recycled Wool & Oiled Leather

178.00

This smaller waxed canvas backpack is made from walnut & chocolate waxed cotton canvas, rich brown oil-tanned leather, and features an earthy, neutral herringbone wool, which is repurposed from a vintage suit, and striped with light blue, terra cotta and warm grey.

It features two expandable pockets along the front which close with hand hammered snaps in copper. The backpack closes securely with a set of snap hooks anchored through oiled leather and the waxed canvas pocket. The back & seat of the pack are lightly padded & quilted, and includes a large, zippered compartment on the inside (along the front.) The straps, heavy duty brown cotton webbing & waxed canvas, are fully adjustable and reinforced, and adjust to fit almost any body. There are also two narrow pockets along the sides that would work great for bike tools or pens. As always, reinforced with bonded nylon thread throughout. Lined in grey cotton twill.

The pack has oil-tanned leather details on the handle and front straps, and can withstand years of use. As always, there is a second layer of waxed canvas on the base.

Waxed canvas wears beautifully, it's extremely water-resistant, and it's virtually indestructible. It never needs washing aside from a occasional swipe with a damp cloth. Periodic conditioning with wax (I recommend yearly) will help maintain its patina and water-resistance.

PLEASE NOTE: Hand cut & sewn to order - please allow 2-4 weeks.

Also available with assorted waxed canvas colors and alternate wools.
