Le Petite Messenger
I took everything handy about the waxed canvas messenger....and SHRUNK them down!
This guy comes in at a manageable 11 x 8 x 4 1/2". Great as a "man bag", and works well for us small-framed ladies as a messenger. The flap is extra wide to allow the rain to roll right off. I'm cutting out a few more of these this afternoon. I'll have to wait for a more inviting day to model...

Single Strap!
You asked for it.....
Everything great about the backpacks, but of course, shorter and wider. I've also increased the depth to 5". One strap, instead of those pesky TWO. First one's up on Etsy....more to come very soon! Smart folks might wait until *Black Friday* to find one of their own, but you didn't hear it from me.

Backpacks II: On The Move
Some friendly folks mentioned it might be good to have a shot of one of these guys on an actual person. I think it's a good idea!
Been making more and more of these every day. If you're in Seattle and like to see one, I'm dropping off a fresh batch this week at Velouria in Ballard! Listing fresh ones every week on Etsy (check out the banner to your right), and this holiday season I'll be here in Seattle at the Urban Craft Uprising (Dec 3 & 4), and taking a big, big bunch down to San Francisco's Renegade December 17th & 18th!

Waxed Canvas Backpacks
Very excited to present my newest product--the backpack!
I've been plotting a bag like this for a long time now. This one's made entirely out of waxed canvas. This stuff is great! It lasts forever, ages like a fine leather, it's basically waterproof AND virtually indestructable. Still got a couple things to tweak before I roll out a few for their debut next month at the Urban Craft Uprising here in Seattle, but this is the pretty close to the final product.
I'll be making versions with and without padding for computers, key clips and pen slots. Some using vintage wools and other fabrics. This one is lined in vintage striped cotton, and has a huge zipper compartment running along the inside. The straps are adjustable.
The front has a gusseted pocket to hold your cell phone, extra bobby pins--you know what to do!
